UNCASVILLE, CONN. – June 21, 2019 – Barrett-Jackson, the World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, will sell more than 485 pieces of authentic automobilia, including prized pieces from the Terry Brannigan and Cedarmore collections, during the 4th Annual Northeast Auction, June 26-29, 2019, at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. This year’s Automobilia Auction will feature the most enviable collection of go-karts, mini-cars and mini-bikes ever to cross an auction block, including many with rotisserie, concours-quality restorations.

“Our Automobilia Auctions have become an exciting and highly anticipated part of each auction,” said Craig Jackson, CEO and chairman of Barrett-Jackson. “Each automobilia item that crosses our block is an authentic and genuine piece of our automotive heritage and pop culture. One excellent example is a 1930s Ford V8 porcelain sign with animated neon (Lot #8296) that’s been restored to perfection. With several hundred tin, porcelain and cardboard signs representing the automotive, oil and soda industries, this Northeast Auction will feature one of our most exciting automobilia offerings.”

Mini-cars have become highly coveted among automobilia collectors, and several high-quality versions will cross the block during the Northeast Auction. Highlights include a 1956 Chevrolet Corvette mini-car (Lot # 8267) and Chevrolet Sebring Kiddie/Adult Car (Lot #8268), which are hand-built 2/3-scale and powered by a 6.9-horsepower engine with automatic transmission. Both Corvettes are designed to accommodate adults or children and are capable of speeds up to 30 miles an hour.

Also within the mini-car category is a museum-quality Hurst Shifters Promotional mini-car go-kart (Lot #8266.1) that was used at drag races and race tracks to promote the Hurst brand. Also crossing the block is a museum-quality hand-built Speed Racer Mach 5 prototype go-kart (Lot #8270). Originally commissioned by Hollywood, with only three built, it is a beautiful scale model and built to show-car-quality standards.

“We’re selling our finest automobilia consignments yet at Mohegan Sun,” said Rory Brinkman, Automobilia Director at Barrett-Jackson. “One of the auction highlights is  Lot #8294 , a rare 1950s Chevrolet-Oldsmobile single-sided porcelain neon shield-shaped dealership sign. It’s one of only two we’ve ever offered, and this one is probably the finest example known, with a porcelain finish that is in day-one condition. In addition, we’ll have an exceptional offering of authentic and rare dealership porcelain neon signs, service station gas pumps and advertising pieces.”

Restored gas pumps are currently one of the hottest segments of automobilia. Barrett-Jackson will offer more than 20 restored service station gas pumps, including a 1926 Boyle-Dayton visible gas pump (Lot #8288). It was meticulously restored by McLaren Classic Restoration in Gilmore Oil regalia and features polished brass accents and even a custom-made Gilmore flagman. Another highlight is a circa 1940s-1950s Mobil Oil Fuel Island (Lot #8287) with two lighted-ad-glass Martin and Schwartz Mobil gas pumps.
