HOUSTON – Feb. 21, 2017 – The Energy Professionals Association (TEPA) and the Illinois Energy Professionals Association (ILEPA), will host a joint reception for their members during the 2017 ELECTRIC POWER Conference and Expo, which will be held April 10, 2017, at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. This is the first time the two organizations will co-host an event to foster discussion among its members about the direction and future of competitive energy markets. As a result of the relationship that TEPA and ILEPA have formed with ELECTRIC POWER Conference, members of each association will enjoy the conference keynote address and executive roundtables at a discounted rate.

The TEPA and ILEPA reception will be held on April 10, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Lakeshore Suite located inside the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place in Chicago. Members of both organizations will also have access to the opening keynote addresses from Bryan Hanson, Sr. VP, Exelon Generation and President and Chief Nuclear Officer, Exelon Nuclear, and Dr. Huei Peng, Dir. of the University of Michigan Mobility Transformation Center and the Roger L. McCarthy Prof. of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan.

In addition to hearing the opening keynote speakers, TEPA and ILEPA members will also have the opportunity to attend the Executive Roundtables that includes executives from leading Regional Transmission Organizations (RTO), Independent System Operators (ISO) and power generators. Featured panelists will include Andrew Ott, President and CEO, PJM Interconnection; John Bear, President & CEO, MISO; Cindy Crane, President and CEO, Rocky Mountain Power; and Ken Zagzebski, President, US Strategic Business Unit of The AES Corporation.
